THE WEATHER REPORT ON YOUR FRIDGE
How about the weather today?
Ooo, it’s nice today.
It’s too hot today.
How cold is it today?
I think it’s time to emigrate.
Wowzers, nippy enough for you?
As Brits, we are obsessed with the weather. Each and every one of us mentions it every, single, day. Seemingly, since my children have had the ability to match their outfits (debatable I suppose), before we leave the house every morning they insist that I look at the weather app on my phone and this, in turn, determines if the munchkins wear a coat or not. It’s still up to me to make the final judgement, as they look expectantly, waiting for the decision. Once this decision is made off they run and then that conversation is forgotten, until next time.
So, now the time has come to teach them what the numbers mean. They need to know if 24 degrees means if they can kick back in the garden in their knickers or the snowsuit comes out and the heating getting cranked up.
This months craft challenge is, surprise surprise, about the weather and, as super simple as it is to make, it has really got the children involved and, most of all, interested in what’s happening outside.
WHAT YOU NEED
Colouring Pens/Glitter Pens
Printouts with weather related words
Foam weather shapes

HOW TO DO IT
Get creative! You can see from our pictures that they got their colouring groove on, they stuck, they cut, they argued a little bit about which colours to use, generally it was a happy interaction. Remember to stick your printouts onto some card so that they are sturdy enough to stick the magnets onto and also remember to let us see your creations!
Craft supplies were sent to use free of charge by Craft Merrily for us to take part in Bostik Bloggers 2016.
