We’re all for doing crafts and upcycling with whatever we have in the house. But so often we can forget the most basic pleasures of creating something with our kids and watching that delight as they discover a new experience which takes you straight back to your own childhood.
So here is what you’ll need to do your own project:
- 1 or 2 ink pads or pots of paint (not watercolour)
- a roll of brown kraft paper
- a couple of potatoes
- a knife and/or some cookie cutters
- some toothpicks
You can choose any colours of shapes and can even make your own by cutting into the potato pieces with a knife.
Basic instructions are very simple. Take each potato and cut into 1-2cm pieces and cut your shape into each piece or use a cookie cutter to press down into your potato to reveal your shape. Then dip into the paint and stamp – et voila – your own personalised wrapping.
Have fun and remember, adventure is out there!
