VIX
I really, really don’t go in for all this Valentines mush. I took the girls shopping earlier today though and found it super cute how they were both looking for suitable gifts (I paid) for their boyfriends. So here is something red, that I love. A small red money box. Did I mention I love it. I think I may love it more than Melissa loves her new cat. Fact.
MELISSA
Although I love my husband but with Valentine’s Day falling this week, I’m afraid it’s all about our gorgeous new cat Lois. At 6 months old, she was abandoned in a garden shed and now she is mainly lounging around on a luxury cat pillow in my office. I love her so. After spending 20 minutes or so editing the image, I realised I had indeed become a crazy cat lady – out and proud.
ROSIE
I’m not sure what could be more romantic or awe inspiring for today than a fiery Skye sunset reflected in the still, silence of the late afternoon. This image was taken on my iphone. I’ve got to admit I am not a fan of phone photography but with a little thought beautiful images are possible.

This is a personal shot from my own wedding last year – taken on our honeymoon up in the lakes tucked away in a little cabin just before we sat on our bed with our huge wedding wine box stuffed full of cards and messages and sat in our dressing gowns reading, laughing, crying and remembering the best day ever. Love how an image is so full of memories and meaning, one of the reasons I love photography so much.
MEGAN
I am not very keen on this current trend of weather: Too many people are suffering, and it seems that in years to come this only going to get worse. The only beautiful thing to come out of it, is when the squally storm goes, we get the most amazing rainbows. Let’s hope situations for people up and down this country get better soon.
PENNY
The others are not all that into Valentines… here is a couple I snapped on my holiday this year at Alnmouth Bay. Although it’s not on a street I call it street photography as they had no idea I was taking their photograph!
