This half-term, we will be going to the marvellous Wychwood Festival on Cheltenham racecourse for the third year running.

Why do we keep on returning? There are many reasons:

– The fabulous range of live music; there’s something for everyone!
– The great food – my kids talk endlessly about the thin crust pizzas at Wychwood Festival
– The beautiful campsite which gives lots of room for the kids to run about freely.
– The amount of things to look at, see, try …

This really only just touches the surface.

wychwood festival 2015

We visited Wychwood Festival in 2015, the children had a blast at the literary festival, and discovered the fabulous author John Dougherty and we loved dancing along to the music on the Main Stage. Last year, in 2016, one our big highlights was the headphone disco: Who knew being in a big tent with 2 DJs battling for us to dance to their beat would be so entertaining!?

This year, we are looking forward to all of the above again. There’s plenty of brilliant bands playing including lead acts of The Buzzcocks, Levellers and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. I’m also really looking to seeing Aswad, Billy Bragg and of the Wychwood festival house band, Thrill Collins!

The headphone disco will back as will the Children’s literacy festival, more workshops than you can shake a stick at, a comedy tent AND a real ale festival. What’s not to like?

There are still tickets available, so hop over to the Wychwood Festival website, and have a look and get booking!

In the meantime, I will leave you the little film we made last year, just incase you need any more reason to be convinced!

We hope to see you there, and if you are going, who are you looking forward to seeing?
