I’m not lying when I tell you my new Christmas diary got filled in something like this… School holidays, birthday of first born, my birthday, Gadget Show Live. We LOVE our gadgets in this house. There’s iPads and iPhones, DSi’s, robots, cameras, telescopes, PSP, sat nav, you name it, we’ve probably got it , had it or stepped on it. We set the alarm early so that second born, aged 3, can make sure that all of our SIMS have been for a wee and had a shower before we all, Sims included, head off for our respective schools and work.
This Easter sees the return of Gadget Show Live. If you’ve ever seen the Channel 5 television show then you’ll know just exactly what to expect but with the added experience that you can touch, play, ooo and ah at all of the latest tech and soon-to-be available tech. I’m so excited, I can hardly contain myself! TRULY MADLY KIDS will be there and reporting back to our adventurers about all the amazing gadgets & geekerie we’ll find there, and we’ll be having an office sweep to see who can guess what the Christmas gadget for 2013 will be. I’m pretty sure I’ll win 😉
We know you’ll be wanting something to do with the rugrats over the Easter holidays so why not take a trip down to Birmingham between April 3rd & 7th? It’s at the NEC and really easy to find, tons of parking too. It is will be super busy though as it is the leading consumer tech event in the UK, attracting tens of thousands of gadget lovers over five days. The 2012 show being a complete sell out, visitors are being advised to book early to avoid disappointment. Tears don’t work well with gadgets.Trust me.
There’ll be masses, over 200 companies actually, exhibiting at the event, including Microsoft, Acer, Freesat, Game, Epic Games, LG, Lenovo, Bowers and Wilkins, JVC and Pioneer. If you’re up for a bit of hero worship you can head out to the Super Theatre where the programme’s hosts Jason Bradbury and Pollyanna Woodward, alongside some very special guests, will deliver an hour of high energy entertainment. They’ll be doing this three times a day and there’s room for 4,500 of you so getting a perch shouldn’t be too difficult. These live performances are full of presenter challengers, high octane stunts, audience participation activities and the chance for you to win some amazing new gadgets. Shows run daily at 1045, 1345 and 1630.
This is a fabulous family day out. Entertaining, dynamic & lots of fun. Just make sure you have a pen and paper in the back of car for the journey home. I’m guessing that Santa will need to know about a few things.
