Rooney-12

I first met Paula at a wedding fair last year. She had a beautiful stand with a mix of floral arrangements and gorgeous ideas for your wedding reception and her wonderful energy and positivity shone through from the other exhibitors. She came over and introduced herself and as soon as we heard each others accents we giggled. You see we are both Liverpool girls and it’s not often we hear that now we both have relocated down South.

Anyway, we worked together on a styled shoot at Greyfriars in the Surrey Hills and I’ve had a girl crush on her work ever since.

Meeting a supplier who loves what they do is one of my most favourite things to do. Paula loves flowers. I mean she eats, sleeps, breathes, lives for flowers. She started this passion at the tender age of 13 working on a market stall every Saturday and then working her way up the ranks to a florist shop as an assistant then right up to opening and running her first floristry business. From there she has gone from strength to strength and continued following her passion.

Paula now supplies flowers to Queenswood Golf Club – the UK’s top private members only club and regularly features her work in Flowers Magazine and various bridal media through the work she does for her wedding clients. She’s now in new premises in the beautiful Hampshire countryside next to a working farm and it was a real treat to be shown behind the scenes. It was fun passing all the cows on our way to the small cosy shipping container that she works from. She loves creating amazing sophisticated arrangements in such a rural setting, wearing wellies to work, and providing works of art to such a prestigious venue!

Here are some of the pictures we created whilst she was having a play with some new seasons blooms and testing some designs for her new website.

Paula Rooney Flowers

Paula’s new website features gorgeous flower arrangements that can be sent to your home or special people directly such as a stunning hat box filled with roses. Called The Love Collection, her new venture is centred around flowers and lots of gorgeous things for the home.

I wish that we could hang out here everyday but sadly it’s going to have to be a catch up treat as and when we can with our ongoing busy diaries. You can book Paula and see her work on her webpage here.

Remember, adventure is out there.
