The big day is only a few shopping days away (!) and throughout the t’internet, I am hearing folk say that they are just not feeling Christmassy yet! Fear not, Truly Madly Kids is here to get you in the festive mood, with our 21 ways to feel festive
Make It:
1. Get crafting a festive wreath, put on the Michael Buble and craft!
2. This has gone down a storm on the blog, make your own upcycled Christmas decoration from a tomato puree tube (seriously, and it looks fab!)
3. Make yourself a Twiglet Reindeer, every home needs one
4. The easiest of decorations, but, oh so gorgeous, are Vix’s clay decorations
5. The PTA at my children’s school recently made these fabulous snowflake decorations. They looks amazing, yet they are actually very simple to make. The lovely Julia at RainbeauBelle gives a great tutorial
6. Get the kids making lovely Rudolph Hot Chocolate for their friends. I recently made these with my daughter’s classmates for the Christmas fair and they loved it, and we sold out within in an hour.
Eat it:
7. Tis the season to be merry and what better way then making some lovely homemade gifts, and Nat’s chocolate bark is top of my list
8. We don’t all like Christmas cake, and Vix’s family are included. Therefore, Vix took matters into her own hands and made the BIG FAT SANTA CAKE! Truly fantastic.
9. Get the house smelling really Christmassy, and make sure you cook Vix’s Christmas ham …
10. And there is nothing like Gingerbread at Christmas
11. Melissa’s festive chocolate brownies are ideal to have with a cuppa and a Christmas film
12. Nat picked up some great festive recipes from The River Cottage including brining meat and bresaola.
Buy it:
13. There is always time to ‘reclaim’ Christmas, check out your local charity shops and electronic swap shops.
14. Be like Melissa, and have an Un Christmas
